  • What Is Concrete? Is It the Same Thing as Cement?

Cement is the main component used in making concrete. Once cement hardens, it becomes what is commonly referred to as concrete. Despite this distinction, many individuals often use the terms cement and concrete interchangeably.

  • Are There Different Kinds of Concrete?

There are numerous styles and finishes that provide a wide range of options for the final appearance of your concrete. The aggregates available in each region determine the materials used to make concrete. The degree of hardness also varies.

  • Does Concrete Have to Be Grey?

No. Various colors and finishes are available.

  • Do I Need a Concrete Contractor?

Yes. Finishing concrete requires a high level of technical expertise.

  • How Long Must My Concrete Driveway Cure Before I Can Drive on It?

    7 days.

Concrete will crack, but the key is to control where it cracks. That's why strategic saw cuts and expansion joints are essential. These can be made while the concrete is still wet or after it has cured.

  • Do Cracks Indicate a Structural Problem?

It's probable that cracks in the concrete do not indicate a structural issue. Minor cracking in concrete is common. If the cracks are larger than 1/4", it would be wise to have a professional inspect it.
